TerraVision
TerraVision is a self-contained, virtual reality, 1-to-1 representation of our Earth. By means of a stylised globe users can zoom in on any location in the world and obtain minutely detailed pictures.The system offers not only satellite images and aerial photos but also geographically referenced data of all types – e.g. topographical or architectural schematic representations. It was conceived as a tool to generate knowledge about the condition and future development of our planet. The display and the resolution were only limited by the quality of the satellite aerial images of the corresponding location.
