Future City: Experiment and Utopia in Architecture 1956 – 2006

Experiment and Utopia 1956-2006 is an exhibition opening next month at the Barbican in London. It will include 300 modes, models and animations by the most radical architects of the past 50 years. The exhibition will show how the filmmaker and architects have dreamed the city of tomorrow.
Today, we are used to very futuristic concepts that can be built. In the earlier decade, it was rarely the case. From Archigram to Zaha Hadid via Shigeru Ban and Superstudio, there are all bringing their vision of the future.
