National Assembly for Wales

The National Assembly for Wales is designed by Richard Rogers Partnership’s architecture firm. They are well known for their pioneering approach towards sustainability within architecture. The gently undulating timber roof, that forms a striking feature, was chosen for its durability in challenging marine environment.

The debating chamber’s funnel creates natural ventilation driven by the rotating wind cowl above, while the glazed lantern allows daylight to penetrate below.
