Moving Furniture by Pinky Pintus

Trimestre, Bimestre and Jours Ouvrable are part of the Moving Furniture designed by Pinky Pintus. Interior decorator and stylist, Pinky Pintus approaches the design of objects and furniture from a playful, sensitive standpoint. Contemporary furniture can be functional, aesthetic or amusing: Pinky Pintus endeavours to reconcile the three. She admires Japanese culture, especially the work of Kuramata, and tries to retain only the necessary features of objects, their essence, and their meaning.

The corners of the rectangular piece have been rounded off to allow modules to rotate side by side. These elements are characteristic of Pinky Pintus’ work, inspired by Japanese philosophy and consequently simple and efficient.
