Bring the pixels to the real world and add some originality to your walls. Pixelnotes is a wallpaper consisting of four layers of varying grey tones on a bright primary backing. Each layer is perforated in a grid format and backed with a tacky adhesive similar to “post-it” notes. Pixelnotes is inspired by the way we work within a space. The walls become functional, an integrated noticeboard that documents our activity within the room.

The Microwave Vase

At first glance, I was impressed by the beauty and simplicity of this vase. Then I was even more amazed when I discovered that this stylish object sitting on the table is a fully-funtional microwave. Once you place food inside and the top knob is adjusted for time, it cooks your food in a heartbeat. The little green leaf on the top lights up to let you know that your meal is ready. Let’s hope that this concept developed by Woo Seokmoon will actually go into production in the near future.

World’s First Underwater Hotel

The president of U.S. Submarines, Bruce Jones, plans to build “The Poseidon Mystery Island” — an underwater hotel which will be located in a 5,000-acre coral lagoon in northeastern Fiji. The hotel, which will sit in about 40 feet of water, will boast individual suites, as well as a library, a wedding chapel and a restaurant. In addition to scuba diving, the guests will be able to cruise around the lagoon in either a 16-person submarine capable of 300-foot-depths, or learn to pilot a three-person Triton sub, which can reach 1,000 feet. Each individual suite will be 550 square feet large, will feature a Jacuzzi, and will be capped by four-inch-thick acrylic windows, which make up about 70 percent of the wall space. Fish feeders will fire food into the water to attract local wildlife. To prevent overfeeding, the system will be limited to a prescribed number of cartridges each day. The only problem is that Jones needs to find $105 million to complete the resort.
Take a virtual tour of the hotel after the jump.

Lamp No.1 by Nicolas Taliani

The Kaos Tub

Rather than hide the structure of a bathtub, Italian designers from Kos prefer to strip away the gloss and reveal its stark beauty. The Kaos Tub removes the siding which normally hides the deep curving bathtub, and instead supports the rim with shining frame legs. The tub has an elegant swooping shape and is compatible with most floor mounted tub fillers. This is the ideal modern bath for contemporary style lovers.
Climate Confusion Assistance

The fur shaped Coyote Hammock, part of BLESS’ project n°28, will keep you warm and comfy during these cold winter days and nights. But it will certainly not please PETA activists. Make a faux fur one and I’ll be first in line to get one.
Toronto Plastic Surgery Advertising and Wrigley Extra

Here is an interesting new way of advertising plastic surgery. But, what if an Asian, an African was using the cup? And what if i use a straw?

I think that the Wrigley Extra ad is better because no matter what your race is, white teeth are universal. If you take care of them of course, otherwise it could be an advertisement for toothpaste.

Fish Pod

Instead of filling empty wall space with another picture frame, display an aquatic environment. The Hanging Fish Pod is a fish bowl with a hemisphere shape that is made to hang on a wall. The back of the Hanging Fish Pod rests flush against the wall and the front of the Hanging Fish Pod protrudes 5 inches. It holds approximately one gallon of water and would make a cozy home for a lonely betta fish or an other small fish. When not inhabited by a fish, other uses for this hanging hemisphere are possible: they could also serve as a funky vase.
