Villa Näckros by Strindberg Arkitekter

With the vision and an old dream of a different way of living nearby the sea, Staffan Strindberg and Thorbjörn Svensson started to work together with the floating villa project. The villa, named Villa Näckros, is now a reality and can be seen in Kalmar, Sweden. The Villa Näckros offers the special conditions and qualities living nearby the see. It is designed to give an interesting and exciting way of living, close to, and even “on”, water!

The task of designing a floating villa became the task of developing a new way of living that recognizes the special qualities of a life close to nature.

A residence for a client grew to an industrial project, with leading words as; sustainability, low maintenance, development of materials and building, care for the environment, low energy costs, identity.
A comfortable living and a lay-out that gives you the optimal feeling of the closeness to the water.178 sqm of living area, 30 sqm.
