A modern take on the traditional chandelier, Peony Chandelier consists of a series of heavily perforated aluminium panels which hang in tiers to create an overall image of a traditional Japanese textile.

Rina Bernabei and Kelly Freeman began working together in 2002 and have since developed a range of lighting and products which are inspired by traditional textiles and explore the relationship that we have with textiles within the interior.

With industrial design and lighting backgrounds, they explore how modern industrial materials and manufacturing techniques can be incorporated into products in a decorative way, reminiscent of textiles of the past.

Bernabeifreeman designs and manufactures their own products, create installations for exhibitions and also work with architects and interior designs to create custom projects.
