Gingerboy Restaurant by Elenberg Fraser

Fairy lights wink from behind black bamboo cladding and a giant red lamp shade hangs in the window. The Gingerboy build by the imagination of Elenberg Fraser dining concept draws on traditional Asian materials featuring a robust bamboo long-bar where clientèle can sample Asian influenced cocktails and tapas, while viewing the activity and animation of the open kitchen during service.

Central to the dining experience is the installation of a random array of dark bamboo poles with hundreds of point lights inter-woven, creating an atmosphere of airy night markets and open night sky. A grand, low hung, ‘lantern’ style light fitting, expressly designed for the space, is centered over the more casual dining area creating an intimacy akin to the Shanghai tea rooms of the 1950’s.
