Be Manos Hotel, Brussels, Belgium

Formerly an old 1920s townhouse, the Be Manos is the first boutique hotel in the European capital. It is a “Family Owned Hotel” that has been refurbished in collaboration with a group of European designers ; Michael Bihain, Le Labo Design, Muurbloem, Reul Freres, Pedrali

It is decorated with sober furniture and features a harmonious blend of materials like slate, leather, Plexiglas and stainless steel. For their first modern creation, they have dreamed up a place worthy of their requirements and wishes, a hotel in which they themselves would like to stay, completely different from standard hotel.

The predominant black and cream color scheme is punctuated with invigorating dashes of color, as well as contemporary photography. A way to prove that design can give a 20’s town house a graceful and warm atmosphere. Far from being cold and spartan, this hotel has set its eye on providing comfort, the hotel interiors are extremely soft and inviting.

Plexiglass and wall-padding feature highly in the Be Manos’s restaurant and breakfast room as well, “Be Lella”, where the customary black and cream is given an invigorating dash of apple green. The restaurant and breakfast room serve healthy and contemporary Belgian cuisine with delicious chocolate desserts. The hotel’s bar, The Bar Noir and Black Lounge on the third floor is a hip relaxing place that boasts a large terrace.
Be Manos also offers personalized face and body treatments in its sauna, as well as massages and manicures.

The rooms and suites of the Be Manos are designed in bold monochrome and are given a sumptuous and soft texture by the use of black leather, in some of the seats as well as cushions and padded headboard. Other items of furniture worth mentioning are the smart Plexiglas molded chairs and stainless steel lighting fixtures.
