Strange Fruit Shop by Gonzalez and Haase Architect

Designed by architect duo Gonzalez and Haase, the minimalist space is adorned with futuristic chrome accents and sculptural, angular display areas that complement its super-hip collection. Coming in at 450 sq. meters and spread over two floors, the six-month old Strange Fruit boutique is an impressive addition to Berlin’s Gendarmenmarkt.

Daliah Roth, the store’s Berlin-born curator and managing director, also developed the concept for Strange Fruit. After several extended stays abroad, the fashion expert decided to implement her seminal vision of setting up a progressive designer boutique in Berlin. She is now introducing many designers like Anne Valérie Hash or Richard Nicoll to Berlin who have already made a name for themselves in Paris, London and Tokyo.
