“Jet Set” by Jaime Hayon for Bisazza

Spanish designer Jaime Hayon has designed a fantasy jet complete with open-air seating for mosaic brand Bisazza.

A setting reminiscent of a hangar, totally atypical and chic, hosts a sophisticated “fantasy” aeroplane with a decidedly surreal shape, decorated with white gold mosaic tiles, leather inserts and featuring a neat lounge with padded white sofas.

“The installation’s spectacular atmosphere, created by the use of reflectors, is reminiscent of a scene from an old Hollywood movie. At the heart of the aircraft is a circular lounge. I can imagine this thing flying, with a couple of lovers on board sipping champagne, the atmosphere charged with positive energy and emotions during their flight.

11 Foosball Table by GRO design & Tim

GRO design and TIM model created what is to me the most beautiful foosball table. The players are machined in brass and chrome, the table itself is meant to be a bit architectural, like real stadiums, and minimal to not distract from the game. The lighting is designed to draw players and spectators into the game completely, eclipsing the distractions of the outside world exactly as if you’re at an actual football game.

“Airswitch O Light”  designed by Robin Bigio & Olivero Zanon for Mathmos is a wall mounted light that creates an amusing effect of a floating object suspended to the wall that can magically be switched on and off and dimmed without touching it. Although it is designed primarily to be used in the bedroom and living room, it also works well in corridors, public spaces and restaurants.

Kumiko Inui’s Pavillon

Create by Kumiko Inui to celebrate the new bullet-train station in front of which it stands, this pavilion in Kumamoto Prefecture serves as a waiting area for travelers. From a distance, the pavilion recalls a typical house as drawn by a child. But as visitors get closer, the building seems to dematerialize, thanks to a blizzard of openings cut into the glass-reinforced concrete walls and roof.

Godfather Art Made from the Entire Script

I know. This looks like nothing particular, it’s just Don Corleone holding his cat. But what’s special about this picture is that it’s made from the entire Godfather script in varying shades of black (and a little red). A 24″ x 30″ poster will cost you $14, an unsigned giclee (limited edition of 1,000), $100, and a signed giclee (limited edition of 250), $300. If Marlon Brando is your hero and you’ll always dreamed of being a gangster, this is a must-have collector item.

N House by Jun Aoki

N is the latest from Tokyo architect Jun Aoki, this two-story block adorned with a pitched roof, brick chimney and mullioned windows greets the street amiably. But the heart of the house is a cavernous, underground box completely sequestered from view. While the iconographic upstairs contains just bedrooms, the buried inner sanctum downstairs holds the combined kitchen, dining and living room.
