One time even the road workers weeded out the garden (which is under a highway) , the best thing is that I've planted some mint and a mini eucalyptus type thing and when the cars swoosh by all you get is a breeze of mint and eucalyptus! It's really exciting seeing an abandoned plot of land being cared for by the community again, I really recommend everyone to try to restore a bit of rough land in their city! I find the initiative a good idea, but would have to be made in spaces not subjected to polution, like buildings incorporating green areas for agriculture and pasture.
