None of your senses shut down when you’re sleeping. Smells can wake people up. That’s an asinine statement.

I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me. And since I don’t have a butler, I have to do it myself. So, most nights before I go to bed, I will lay six strips of bacon out on my George Foreman Grill. Then I go to sleep. When I wake up, I plug in the grill, I go back to sleep again. Then I wake up to the smell of crackling bacon. It is delicious, it’s good for me. It’s the perfect way to start the day. Today I got up, I stepped onto the grill and it clamped down on my foot… that’s it. I don’t see what’s so hard to believe about that.

Smelling salts don’t wake you because they smell, it’s a chemical compound that irritates your nose and lungs and cause you to inhale strongly. You wake up because it shocks you. I imagine the name came instead from the fashion in which it is used.

I.m sorry. But this is ridiculous..

Yes, yes. It’s amusing to see that someone thought of this and followed through and built it. But I would NOT want bacon cooking in my bedroom. Especially if it’s enclosed in a wooden box with two VERY HOT halogen lamps inside of it.

This looks like a fire hazard to me and anyone who would want a large, digital, wooden pig head in their bedroom needs to have THEIR head examined.

that doesnt make sense, because the only sense that doesn’t work while sleeping is smell, so the smell can’t wake you up
