REK bookcase by Reinier de Jong

Rotterdam-based designer Reinier de Jong has designed this ingenious bookcase. The REK expands and collapses like an accordion. As you book collection grows, the shelves can be pulled apart in a configuration of your choosing.

    Hi,

    Now, this is what I call a pleasant surprise.
    It’s effective and has a good and simple design, making me thinking about those movies about mummies and pyramids where things move.
