Harads Tree Hotel by Tham & Videgard Hansson Arkitekts
Harads is a tree hotel concept inverted by Swedish architects Tham & Videgard Hansson.
The tree hotel with a small kitchen, terrace, living area and sleeping area is good enough to spend a small, or even an extended vacation, away from the hustle and bustle of crowded city life.
The mirrored surfaces blends this conceptual design into the environment.

The structure looks cool but I’m not sure about the mirrored surface… Poor birdies… They have no chance.

how do you get up to it? andMJL is right, this will cost the lives of thousands of birds.

Thats really cool.Thats my kinds house.Kinda awkward to get the furniture up there but great if you dont want anyone to know where you live and great too for keeping unwanted visitors away; especially the mother in law who cant climb stairs.

actually there’s little stickers invented now that you can stick on a window that only birds can see, that way they avoid them (invented by some kid in grade 8 i think) though they aren’t used very often, they must be cheap since they were made for a school project.. though even with the bird issue gone they would have to harm the environment just building this thing

Kill birds? Surely if a bird is flying towards a mirror it sees another bird coming straight for it?
How often do you see birds just flying head first into each other?

Hi!
How is the sctructure “glued” to the tree ? I would like to build somethings based on this idea. I already built a tree house http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiagonmas/755650051/

Concept works, even if we saw that a lot of times. How many proyect with mirrors?
Ventilation, toilets, waste water and environmental friendlly energy, still have to be solution. Furthermore, if you cover a tree with so much surface, it will die.
So, keep in wotking

Many thanks for this valuable content. Often times, the very best knowledge originate from the blogs a person may not expect. Not too long ago, I didn’t give so much thought to leaving comments on blog articles and have left opinions even less. Checking out your insightful article, is going to motivate me to do this sometimes.
