Xeros Residence by Blank Studio
Xeros build by Blank Studio is located in a unique double-lot condition in the Valley of the Sun, adjacent to the Phoenix North Mountain Preserve in a quiet neighbourhood in the heart of North Central Phoenix. Positioned on a narrow lot, the house is composed of two long bars stacked one upon the other. Long banks of glass allow for great vistas, and the location of the main living space on the second floor maximizes the view.
The residence offers the intangible experience of purposeful design through rigorous composition, the manipulation of desert light, and highlights the concept of journey through a variety of spaces. Residence demonstrates, oxidized steel cannot only elegantly and acerbically wrap a lean, rectilinear structure, but, through its rusty tinge on diaphanous and corrugated textures, it can also brings a fresh dimension to classic Modernist principles.
