Indeed this would lead to less pulping of unsold copies. Pretty impressive. Instead of using trees in hopes of sales, we could directly print books as they sell... keep a "tester" copy on the shelves like hand lotion at fancy stores, etc. This could still be a great “green way” for books to continue.
