James May’s LEGO House Demolished

In a tragic turn of events, the supercool House of LEGOs constructed for the James May BBC television challenge was torn, hammered and shattered into nothing more than a pile of 3.3 million LEGO bricks, along with the dreams of many a young (and old) LEGO lover.

A spokesman for the BBC said that no-one came forward with a last minute offer to take the building – despite a Facebook appeal.

Martin Williams, marketing director of Legoland Windsor, had said: ‘We’re disappointed we were not consulted as our model-makers could have advised on building a movable structure.
“We considered all the options but due to cost, timings, logistics and planning permission, we have decided it would not be viable to move the structure to the park”.

Another sad, myopic response to art from the power.

It’s arduous to seek out educated people on this topic, however you sound like you recognize what you’re speaking about! Thanks
