“CUB” Lamp by Julian Robin

From French designer Julian Robin this tricky piece of furniture is a block of wood that’s also a lamp. Switched off it’s a cube of hardwood, switched on, it’s an ornamental lamp with a leaf motif.

The contrast between on and off presents a comment on nature. When off, the Cub Lamp bares little resemblance to its original form. When on, the tree the wood once was shines through.
