Ankabe, Foldable Basket by Takashi Houjo

I find the Akanbe foldable basket design from Takashi Houjo quite cute and practical. Inspired by origami, it is easy to store, as it turns into a flat sheet, and so unfolded, it is a play-mat.


Clever, the Akanbe is comfortable to use. Meaning ”sticking one’s tongue out”, the tongue of the smiling face is used to keep the handles together and your hands from these nasty marks.
