Hermit’s House by the Cloud Collective

“Hermit” House” is a garden retre at that serves as a lounge guest room and exhibition space created by Daniel Venneman and Mark Van Der Net fromcloud collectivearchitects.
The project was constructed with a minimal amount of prefabricated wooden panels. As the standard dimensions formed the starting point of the design, material use, transportability and its economy were optimized. The design was partially prefabricated and then transported to it’s location, a garden located in the floodplains of the Ljssel river near Deventer in the Netherlands.

With its jagged shape it distinguishes itself from its surroundings while the interior remains usable, flexible
and intimate. with a kaleidoscopic experience of light, reflection and views the design not only offers a rich inner world but also a fresh look at the wide area.
