Nestlé Lab by Rojkind Arquitectos

It is a lab for Neslte by Rojkind Arquitectos in Queretaro Mexico after their first collaboration for the chocolate museum they got the commission to design a new facility on the city of Querétaro, that includes laboratories, offices, and auditorium and a tasting area.
One of the design constraints came from the fact that the centre of Querétaro was declared as World Heritage by the UNESCO on 1996.

The Suites Avenue Hotel Exterior by Toyo Ito

The photos above are of the recently completed exterior façade that architect Tokyo Ito has designed for the new Suites Avenue Hotel in Barcelona, Spain.

Ito has transforming what was previously a dull office building by creating an intriguing façade of waves that he says was inspired by his love of the work of Antoni Gaudi.

Downtown Beijing High Rise Engulfed in Flames

The burning shell of an unfinished, 44-story luxury hotel lit the night sky over down town Beijing on Monday after being showered with sparks from fireworks set off during China’s biggest holiday.

Flames surged up one side of the hotel and sent off huge plumes of black smoke, showering the ground with embers as police held back crowds of onlookers.

Reporter Jean de Villeneuve lives about 200 yards (200 meters) from the fire and said she watched it for about an hour before firefighters got it under control. De Villeneuve, who is originally from France, said she was surprised at how close spectators were allowed to get before authorities established a perimeter.

Parkrand by MVRDV

Parkrand building is the new project of MVRDV in Amsterdam. There are 193 apartments built in horizontally or vertically branch. Architects at MVRDV are used to bring the nature close to the living place. As you can see they don’t hesitate to replace flowerpots with tree pots.

Cool Design In Kiruna By Ala Architects

ALA’s design seems to be the hot favorite to win the international competition to design and develop a building for the Sami Parliament. The firm’s ideology of beauty created in a practical, efficient and analytical design approach is clearly visible in this unique design wich look like a space shuttle. I’m sure ET the extra-terrestrial would come back to Earth if he could in this building.
