Found in varying quantities in the seeds, leaves and fruit of some plants, caffeine acts as a natural pesticide that paralyses and kills certain insects feeding on the plant. The main crystals of caffeine were 400-500 microns long; however, this crystal group formed on the end of the larger crystal and measures around 40 microns in length.
Electrolux Design Lab 2012 invites industrial design students and recent industrial design graduates (2011) to draw inspiration from professional experience creators (chefs, architects, interior designers, hotel designers etc.) to design home appliances that will provide a fuller sensory experience. It might be through state of the art technology or it might be through a clever blend of textures and surfaces. Your ideas will shape how people prepare and store food, clean and do their dishes, both within and beyond the home.
The 2012 Electrolux Design Lab brief challenges design students to focus on design for the senses. Electrolux Design Lab created five films illustrating each sense. First out, is taste. How would you reward the senses through design?
