Milk Desk by Soren Kjaer

Soren Kjaer, the designer of this Milk Desk, calls his creation the “iPod of Desks.” And while that’s a pretty smooth pitch for a desk, it’s actually a pretty apt description. Milk is a Danish combination office desk and has a built in fish tank, penholder, garbage bin, file cabinets, height adjuster, and a storage box for your iPod. Half of those things are pointless, but it’s also white (like milk!) and looks pretty neat. If you stick it in your office you’ll feel like you’re from the future!

The recess is big enough for two cold feet or a lazy cat. A basket made of felt fits perfectly in it. This alcove which looks like a hat can be removed and placed for the sofa. It is filled in with granules which save the material a while in temperature. Let have a quiet cup of tea: fun’s only just started.

Whirlpool’s creative design offers a visually interesting solution to that old-age problem of how you can easily manage your laundry without getting tired.

The washing machine boasts three baskets above for the different types of items: whites, colours, and darks. Once the wash is done an ingenious device hauls away the clothes to another compartment, which dries, de-creases and refreshes them. The downside of course is that you have to sacrifice an entire wall and get another few jobs to pay for it.
