The ‘Sealander,’ Amphibious Camping Trailer by Daniel Straub

Sealander built by German designer Daniel Straub, is a clever two-in-one vehicle that combines features of an electric power boat and a camping trailer. The ‘Sealander’ is not really designed for a crossing of the Atlantic, but rather to shallow waters. Sealander’s shell is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic with a double bottom to prevent sinking in case of a leakage. Power is via a 5 hp electric motor which doubles as a source of energy for on-board devices.

Mehrzeller_the_Multicellular_Caravan1

I am not convinced by the outside appearance of this caravan, but the interior is very well studied. “Mehrzeller”, which means multicellular Caravan in English is the creation of Christian Freissling Kalteis and Theresa, two designers from Graz University of Technology in Austria.

SylvanSport GO Miniature Camping Trailer

The GO was designed from the frame out to be a one-of-a-kind mobile adventure trailer. Weighing in at 700 pounds, the GO Miniature Trailer can be pulled by small cars. It also includes stargazing windows, excellent ventilation and the beds even convert to a table for when the weather or bugs made eating outside unpleasant. The tent itself packs down and stows inside the trailer’s roof/storage box allowing it to be used for hauling other gear when you’re not sleeping in it.
