Bubble: Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden by Siller Scofidio + Renfro
The ‘Bubble’ is an inflatable conceivd Siller Scofidio + Renfro architects is an event space planned for the cylindrical courtyard of the Hirshhorn Museum. In respectful dialogue with the Modernist icon originally designed by Gordon Bunshaft in 1974, the Bubble is an architecture of air; a pneumatic stucture enclosed only by a transluscent membrane that sueezes into the void of the building and oozes out of the top and beneath its mass.
In contrast to the familiar strategy of roofing over courtyards of institutionals buildings.The Bubble produces a soft building inside of a hard one in which existing and new spaces, both interior and exterior are playfully interwined. The ephemeral srtucture is erected once a year for two months. The additional 11 000 sf of sheltered space accomodates audiences of 500-800 for array of public events including performinf arts, fil, lectures and debates. Its form is shaped by a series of cable rings that constrict the membrane, pulling it away from the inner wall of the courtyard while other cables tether it into place. The resulting contours act acoustically and produce changing shafts and pockets of outdoor space experienced from the ground and the galleries on the second and third level.

Igor Sirov has redesigned this 50m2 flat mountains lovers. The flat is intended to be a love nest, a refuge where people come to comfort and rejuvenate, enjoy nature while feeling protected. The apartment is cosy and warm thanks to the wooden floor and slats on the wall and the fireplace in the middle of the room. A perfect place to retire for a while.

‘House T,’ in Turin, City Centre by Point Studio
The new additions to the family since the house’s initial renovation made this project’s challenges the optimal use of available space. The idea behind the project is one of educating the family to the non-conventional and multifunctional use of space.
It is for this reason that it was decided to give the large existing living room space multiple functionality; the owner’s bedroom, the living and dining space and a relaxation area are all found here while the remaining spaces are dedicated to the newborn children. We decided to raise half of the main room to create a larch wood platform, which hosts the relaxation space with a sofa and television, and exploit the height difference to hide a rollaway bed and a storage space.

Mushroom Information Centre by Mulders VandenBerk Architects
In the south of the Netherlands just outside of the village Berghem, Mulders vandenBerk Architects has realized the ‘Paddenstoelenhuis’ commissioned by Champignonkwekerij van de Vorle. The ‘Paddenstoelenhuis’ is an information centre where you can learn all about mushrooms. From here guided tours are organized to the mushroom plantation. The building is nicely located in the countryside and can be rented as location for meetings and culinary workshops. The building is designed around a multifunctional hall. Entrance, office, kitchen and meeting room are attached to the central hall.
The rectangular shape of the building fits well within the rhythm of agricultural buildings in the vicinity and takes away the sight toward the technical part of the mushroom plantation next to it.
Playground or Office in Telaviv by Camenzind Evolution for Goolgle
When CubeMe’s team first watch the new images of google office based in Tel Aviv and designed Camenzind Evolution, we were just overwhelmed. Google has always been really original and innovating for the creation of their offices. They have a gift to create an environment where creativity, relaxation and the desire to go to work are put together. With such an office, I would quite tempted to stay even to sleep at night, which I think should be the case of some of them. Each room whatsoever, conference room, cafeteria, relaxation … has a unique atmosphere and decoration.
The new Google office now occupies 8 floors in the prestigious Electra Tower in Central Tel Aviv, with breath taking views across the whole city and the sea. It is a new milestone for Google in the development of innovative work environments: nearly 50% of all areas have been allocated to create communication landscapes, giving countless opportunities to employees to collaborate and communicate with other Googler’s in a diverse environment that will serve all different requirements and needs.

Two Coves Residence by Bercy Chen Studio
‘Two Coves,’ a single-family house Residence, a realization from Bercy Chen Architect Studio is situated on a hilltop near Emma Long Metropolitan park in West Austin. The main house is defined by the large circular plinth that contains an infinity-edge reflecting pond . The central courtyard is formed by the pool and pond which, together offers a panoramic view of the town and the hills beyond.
The circular reflecting pond is a central and defining feature of the house and serves multiple purposes. The pond’s waterfall creates a constant white noise, canceling nearby traffic noise. Spiritually, the large body of water brings a sense of calm and psychological coolness while visually connecting the house with the surrounding landscape. The pond also captures the constantly changing ambient light and reflects it onto the interior ceiling, animating the entire house.
Deutscher and Forrest Residence by Mos Architects
‘Deutscher and Forrest Residence reformed by Mos Architects was a vacant lot on the east of an existing building purchased by the client. The building engages with this landscape by presenting the open plan living and kitchen to the east and by proving a balcony off the master bedroom which further benefits from North east aspect.
The open plan living concept is consolidated by the use of a new stair situated at the main entrance which gently ascend into a double height void terminating at an open plan study arrangement. This space become the canvas for ever changing light variations due to the high level corner window stair well skylight.
The strategic position of openings promoting air flow, hight ceiling,radial sawn timber, window shading devices, highly insulated building envelope, evaporative cooling, hydronic heating, solar heat pump generator for hot water and rain water tank to ensure this building is an energy efficient solution which fully engages with it’s natural context and minimizes it’s impact on the environment.

‘Sheraton Huzhou,’ Resort by MAD Architects
Ma Yansong from MAD architects has designed a hot spring resort project as a hotel’s extension for the chinese-based Sheraton hotel chain, in Huzhou, China.
The hotel will be 100 meters tall and 116 wide and will cover a surface area of 75 acres and provides 321 villas and rooms. The brilliant design gives every room a view of the lake, natural light, and ventilation no matter where it is located. LED light system on the exterior skin of the construct brings the metal structure to life at night, displaying colorfully animated textures and patterns reflected on the water’s surface.
Celeste Champagne & Tea Room in Mexico City by Productora
PRODUCTORA was charged to redesign the 1940s-era house to create a stylish place for a champagne bar & tea room. The design focused on the creation of one single tile that could generate a variety of patterns and changes in direction throughout the whole floor plan. This piece is repeated over the whole floor and onto the lower parts of the walls, creating a strong dividing horizon between a quiet above and a below charged with information. Animals’ Skulls and stuffed birds are attached to the wall giving a bucolic atmosphere contrasting with the modern lines of the flooring.

Gallery House by Platform 5 Architects
Gallery House project by Platform 5 Architects will be a four-bedroom family home set in a large woodland clearing on the outskirts of St Albans.
Influenced by local vernacular agricultural buildings, the house is designed as a loose arrangement of rectangular forms to create a series of layers, courtyards and walkways forming living spaces surrounded by art and nature.
A series of brick columns will support an external galleried walkway around the perimeter of the house, at focal points there are “covered external rooms” that provide shelter whilst maintaining a strong connection with the woodland setting. Above, a timber-clad first floor will be arranged as an informal composition of overlapping roofs and terraces offering long views over the landscape. 
Katleman Residence by Marmol Radziner
The Rose House was designed by architects Conrad Buff, Dennis Straub, and Don Hensman in 1963 for Helen Rose, a well-known Hollywood costume designer. In 1999, owner and interior designer Carole Katleman approached the firm to restore the home to its original design, while undertaking sensitive upgrades to the house to accommodate a contemporary lifestyle. In keeping with the house’s modern character, emphasis was placed on well-crafted details and honest simplicity in design. From the main entry, the view unfolds through transparent glass walls, across the pool terrace, towards the Santa Monica Mountains.

It consists of three different volumes each with a kinked roof and a specific function: living area, swimming pool and guest house. Waltham Forest College in North-East London by Platformn 5 Architects
Waltham Forest College located in the North-East of London has been reformed by Platformn 5 Architects. £3 million refurbishment of Waltham Forest College, breathing new life into an existing 1930s building to create new formal and informal education and meeting areas.
As the mezzanine and seminar pod are shifted off axis by 17 degrees, to respond to the new performance stage opening, the architects adopted a system of beams spanning between the existing structure. An innovative offset bolted hanging support structure was devised to allow the new skewed columns to be hung from the existing beams.
