Kiki van Eijk: “Coup de Théâtre” for La Montre Hermès

Kiki van Eijk and Hermès started working together in 2012, when Kiki designed exceptional travelling display windows for Hermès which were initially presented at the Bijenkorf department store in Amsterdam, and later travelled the world with Hermès to Milan, Vancouver, Osaka and Tokyo. Following this successful collaboration, Kiki is now invited by La Montre Hermès, the watch division of the house of Hermès, to design unexpected stage-settings for their watch collections. For La Montre Hermès, Kiki van Eijk designed a nomadic window display decor concept, drawing her inspiration from her poetic inner dream world. Each display is a miniature theatre intended to recreate a certain atmosphere; Kiki designed veritable miniaturised scenes linked to the company’s collections; Cape Cod, Dressage, Clipper, Arceau, Heure H, as well as to the precious watches. Brick Lane Transformed 8 Bit Scene to Promote Wreck-It Ralph
For one weekend the famous Brick Lane in Londoon has been transformed into 8-Bit Lane, as celebration of arcade game nostalgia to market the upcoming release of Disney film Wreck-it Ralph. Pixellated trees, clouds, pigeons and a London taxi has been created by sculptor Aden Hynes. 8 Bit Lane has also showcase the world’s first Blipp-able building using Blippar’s visual discovery app. When Wreck-It Ralph fans Blipp The Nicelanders house on the wall, the house emerge in 3D and theyare invited to play a game featuring Ralph himself.
Aden Hynessays: ‘I played 8 bit games as a teenager, so it was great to realise that vision in three dimensions. In many ways the retro styling has much more charm than the hyper reality of today, I’ve never been asked to make an 8 bit taxi before.’

21 Swings: Interactive Musical Swing Installation by collective Daily Tous Les Jours
21 Swings is a recent project created by Canadian design collective; Daily Tous Les Jours, known for their wide variety of interactive public installations and experiences.
The installation offers a fresh look at the idea of cooperation, the notion that we can achieve more together than separately. The result is a giant instrument made of 21 musical swings; each swing in motion triggers different notes, all the swings together compose a piece, but some sounds only emerge from cooperation. The project stimulates ownership of the public space, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds, and creating a place for playing and hanging out in the middle of the city centre. A traveling version of the project is currently being made for these collective moments to spread around the world.
Ptaszarnia, Short Movie by Karina Wiciak
This short film tells the story of what is happening in your interiors, when everyone had left……
“Ptaszarnia” is the first of twelve parts of an original collection called ”XII”, entirely designed by Karina Wiciak from Wamhous. The collection “XII” will consist of 12 thematic interior designs, together with furniture and fittings, which in each part will be interconnected, not only in terms of style, but also by name. Each subsequent design will be created within one month, and the entire collection will take one year to create. Here, visualization is to constitute more than a design, which is thrown away after implementation of the interior design, but mainly an image, which has a deeper meaning and can function individually, for instance as a print on a wall, or even a movie. The project “Ptaszarnia” includes the armchair “Ptaszek” and the hanging lamp “Ptaszyna”.

Dalton Ghetti creates miniature masterpieces on pencils’ tip. Dalton, who works as a carpenter, has been making his tiny graphite works for about 25 years.

“At school I would carve a friend’s name into the wood of a pencil and then give it to them as a present. Later, when I got into sculpture, I would make these huge pieces from things like wood, but decided I wanted to challenge myself by trying to make things as small as possible. I experimented sculpting with different materials, such as chalk, but one day I had an eureka moment and decided to carve into the graphite of a pencil”
