Designer Gas Mask, High Fashion Protection by Diddo Velema

You don’t need to sacrifice fashion for safety. Fortunately for you artist Diddo Velema has catered for your psychotic needs with these three designer gas masks unveiled in Bucharest at Luxury Show 2008.

Velema talks about his designer gas masks:

“Deep down, we are afraid we may never be satisfied. An expanding archive of branded myths and icons feeds this fear. Designer Gas Masks is an attempt to visualize this state of mind. Because it is only by first acknowledging and then challenging fear that we will all be able to breathe a little easier.”

Chanel Perspex Briefcase

Karl Lagerfeld has presented “Chanel Perspex Briefcase,” an elegant and mostly black take on power suiting for Chanel that included this fantastically witty take on the working gal’s briefcase.

The transparent briefcase comes with slots to hold a purse, lipstick, sunglasses, iPod and other ladies’ stuff. We are not assuming it to be just a catwalk prop, so we might see the thing for real.

If you don’t have a girlfriend, then you should get a blogging job because we don’t wear ties. Or shirts for that matter. Sometimes, we don’t even wear pants. But don’t tell anyone, ok?

Retro & Military Tunic Jackets

jacket.jpg

Military tunics and jackets are trendy fashion items worn by The Bravery’s Sam Endicott, The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas and Babyshambles’ Pete Doherty, to name a few. If you want to look like your favorite rockstar, you should check out PhixClothing, an online store that sells genuine ’70s military and retro clothing. I just fell in love with the Dark Brown Tunic that Sam endicott wore at a concert. It’s pure retro style!
