Comfy Cargo Chair by Stephen Schulz

This one’s for the hoarders; the adaptable design by Stephen Schulz allows for users to fill in the gaps with whatever they wish. Choose colourful fabrics and cushions, cuddly toys, or the entire contents of your desk draws. The idea behind the chair was to hand over design flexibility to the owner and to give them a chance to make their own mark on it by filling the gaps with whatever takes their fancy. The designers suggest using fully recycled and upcycled goods to retain the eco-friendly ethos.

‘Fiet,’ Lighting Sculpture by Studio Toer

Fiet is an interactive light sculpture that visualizes the emotional impact of movement. The object is built out of hundreds of cones which emphasize the motion of the surface. The points of the cones move closer to each other or expand when the skin is moving. All this happens by the influence of sounds surrounding the object. You will see the sculpture become stressed when there is a sudden noise, but when it ’s quiet and peaceful it will move in a comfortable manner. It ’s like a living organism that interacts with its environment.
