Benchchair clearly takes its inspiration from the famous Monobloc Chair but puts the associations that any chair evokes into a new context. Its curved shape is extended into a voluminous body, thereby creating an abstract space, such that observers are confronted with a transformed hybrid.
Benchchair is an extremely graphic piece and its strength is in its purity – a thought provoking idea pared down to its essentials. The geometric forms created by the extension create a sculptural aspect to this unique hybrid bench .

Award winning designer Peter Stathis has created a fascinating lighting called the Trapeze LED Table Light for JOBY.
At first glance the most striking element of the lamp are the heavy bulbs at the extremities of the arms of the lamp. The dual arms glide smoothly in a 3-axis range – the bulbs are perfectly balanced counterweights. Stop moving the arms and the lamp is frozen in position thanks to the weights, not a sticky ball joint. We tried it.Little details surprise and delight; the aluminum body has a rubberized finish that’s pleasant to the touch and one corner of the base is angled up to hold the arms – which is where two lamp parts connect easily and intuitively – they snap together instantly with no visible wires. In sum, Trapeze is a striking sculpture piece and a highly functional tool that combines tech and touch in a new way.

“A Wheel For Pedrali” has recently been awarded in London with the Fx International Interior Design Awards 2012 – Museum or Exhibition Space category.
“A Wheel For Pedrali” is a dynamic and allegoric landscape designed by Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto for Pedrali Stand during the 2012 Design Week.
In order to explore their quality and wide production and understand it in detail, 10 scenographic, big, out of scale, 5 metres diameter wheels, host the products displayed in all their finishings and shapes. The series and the wide range of the offer are enlightened by the living narrative of graphic dynamic video projections, shown on the wheels’ backgrounds and allowing a double layer of reading.
The volume designed for the reception and the lounge area becomes a background offstage of the different perspectives. A multilayered border, containing from metallic grid to semi-transparent fabric, allows to see through into the depth. An installation along the sides of the volume, created with ‘happyapple’ lights, the new exterior lights produced by Pedrali, characterizes and underlines the different layers with light.
