“American House 08″ by William E. Massie
American House 08, is the first in a series of ten prefabricated houses designed and constructed by William E. Massie — the award-winning Architect-in-Residence and Head of the Architecture Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
American House 08 embodies Massie’s drastically divergent practice from traditional architecture through his use of computer-based fabrication technology for efficient, precise, and customized fabrication. Constructed entirely within the architect’s 12,000 square-foot studio just minutes away from the historic Saarinen-designed Cranbrook campus, American House 08 was designed, in part, at full scale. By composing in real-time, Massie is able to negotiate between material and concept, relying on human reaction to the actual space and details. Utilizing computer-based fabrication technology for production, the house consists of a prefabricated steel frame, in-filled with manufactured structural panels all filtered through a process of digital fabrication.

Camp Smull by Resolution: 4 Architecture

Resolution: 4 creates its designs based on “modules of use” — designed for communal or private spaces. The different kinds of modules can be mixed and matched to achieve a theoretically infinite number of designs, suited to the buyer’s site, budget, and lifestyle. The various combinations are called “typologies.”

Camp Smull blends Resolution: 4′s “three-bar bridge” and “two-bar slip” typologies. The main level is the soul of the home, with the entry, a large outdoor deck, and zones for living, dining, and cooking.
MOMO,Modernistiskt Modulhuskoncept by Thomas Lind

MOMO or which means “modern module house concept” is a modernistic modular house concept designed by Swedish architect Thomas Lind.MOMO’s modular prefab units come in flat packs but must be assembled by an experienced builder.
Lind doesn’t claim that the 10-square-meter (107 sq. ft.) modules are deep green, though their small size certainly helps. He says they are “high quality and healthy materials” mainly solid wood using traditional stains outside and whitewash on inner walls.
House RR, São Paulo by Andrade Morettin Arquitetos
The RR house in Sao Paulo by the Brazilian Andrade Morettin Arquitetos lies close to the sea in a humid climate surrounded with thick vegetation.

The quasi-industrial feel of the generous 220-square meter house is offset by the towering wall of greenery that surrounds it, and the inside-outside feel of a platform in the jungle is enhanced by the hammocks hung casually on the wooden frame.

A combination of full-height wooden and glass opening screens allow these compartments to become part of the main double-height living area, six meters high, which in turn can be opened up to the outside world. Pre-fabrication kept costs down and speeded up construction and means the entire structure sits lightly on its idyllic site.

Toyota, Prefab House

Yes, you can have a Toyota prefab house. Imagine that, a house that matches with your car. You could even pick up the same colour maybe. The car manufacturer created 3 different house designs, which are Earthquake-resistant.
When there is money to be made, big companies are always in. What’s next? They could also sell candies.
Australian Prefab By Andrew Maynard

I’ve been very excited by the modern prefab housing industry for some time now. The best designs and concepts I’ve seen lately come from an Australian designer, Andrew Maynard. He thinks that the production scheme of modern housing has to mimic the car industry. For him, prefab houses have to be well designed but also provide cheap housing. Maynard’s work makes the future look like a very nice place to live.
Hariri Pontarini Architects
The greater unifier of the spaces of this prefab house is the house’s exterior, a formidable assembly of teak window framing, copper detailing, and deliriously long, Algonquin limestone blocks: all enable the house to appear delicate and fortresslike at the same time. Living spaces anchor the center point from which the building’s two wings protrect. Yet what might otherwise be a bulky transition between zones is smoothed and unified by the use of gentle angles and curves: the roof slopes gradually upward over the gallery spaces and a corkscrew staircase connects the first and second levels.
